Rumors of a T-Mobile buyout of struggling Sprint have been circulating for the past couple weeks. T-Mobile USA’s parent company, Deutsche Telekom appears to be seriously considering a bid. However, a consolidation of the networks could prove to be a difficult task under the new Obama administration which is pointing to a tougher stance on the wireless industry. An even tougher challange may lie in consolidating T-Mobile’s GSM network with Sprints CDMA and IDEN technologies.
